Before Your Appointment
- Skip the Caffeine: Please avoid coffee, energy drinks, or excess caffeine for at least 3–4 hours before your appointment. Caffeine can heighten sensitivity and increase your risk of feeling faint.
- Have a Snack: Eat a light meal or snack before arriving. Low blood sugar is one of the most common reasons clients feel lightheaded during a piercing.
- Hydrate: Drink water beforehand to help your body stay balanced and calm.
- Tell Us About Your Health: If you have a history of fainting, nausea, or conditions like POTS Syndrome, let your piercer know before we begin. We’ll take extra steps to make sure you feel supported and comfortable.
- Dress for Comfort: Wear loose, comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area being pierced.
After Your Appointment
- Follow Aftercare Instructions: Your piercer will provide detailed cleaning and healing instructions specific to your jewelry and placement.
- Hands Off: Avoid twisting, touching, or sleeping directly on your new piercing to prevent irritation.
- Healing Time Varies: Every body heals differently—trust the process and don’t rush jewelry changes before the recommended timeframe.
